We are dedicated to providing a professional, quality-of-care service to the local community and especially to the sporting population. The key focus of physiotherapy is the “restoration of normal function” when impaired through injury, disability, aging or disease.

Your Physiotherapist will assess your problem, identify the cause and help you to qualify your goals. We will then plan and administer a treatment program that aims to enhance the body’s natural healing process and correct any causative factors. In treatment we will combine mobilization, joint alignment, manipulation, massage, acupuncture, electrotherapy rehabilitation and exercise design.

Spinal Manipulation

Spinal manipulation is a therapeutic intervention performed on spinal articulations which are synovial joints. Spinal manipulation is one of several options—including exercise, massage, and other modalities—that can provide mild-to-moderate relief from back pain. Angela has completed her masters in musculoskeletal physiotherapy which has taught her how to do spinal manipulation based on an osteopathic and physiotherapy foundation. These techniques are used for spinal re alignment and can help with muscle release. These can be gentle techniques and screenings are done before the technique is done to make sure it is safe and suitable for the patient, otherwise joint mobilizations are used instead which are more gentle and still effective.

Hydrotherapy (Offsite)

Hydrotherapy, or water-based exercise, is an excellent way to bridge the transition from hands-on manual therapy and non-weight-bearing exercises to land-based, weight-bearing activities. It is particularly beneficial for weight-bearing structures such as the knee, hip, and lumbar spine, making it an ideal option for rehabilitation.

The buoyancy of water reduces joint load and pain, allowing for graded weight-bearing and a supportive environment to regain confidence and initiate recovery. Hydrotherapy is an effective medium for improving co-contraction and stability while enabling progressive exercises using water resistance. It also helps increase cardiovascular endurance and supports post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation.

We offer hydrotherapy sessions at West Wave Leisure Centre in Henderson, free of charge for our clients under the guidance of one of our physiotherapists.
